Home is a sense of belonging. I wanted to find a way to help new students experience this within their new cities.
I started this project as part of Graphic Design Festival Scotland's Live Brief where we were asked to create a concept in response to the question: "Where is home?".
The Problem:
A third of students who drop out of university do so for mental health reasons.
What can be done?
Home is a sense of belonging. I wanted to find a way to help new students experience this within their new cities.
We often search for any problems we are having on Google before reaching out to a professional or friends & family.
So I felt a website and app would be most effective so students could access the tools they need any time and any place they need them.
Website & App Prototypes
The Live Chat feature is a way for students to talk to someone without the pressure of speaking on the phone.
A one-stop-shop for students to find advice and to make new connections with people at their university.
The advice articles section allows students to get help in their own time. The Forums and Societies pages give students a space to meet people with similar interests to themselves.
